New Slim/cost reduced SD HxC Floppy Emulator !
Re: New Slim/cost reduced SD HxC Floppy Emulator !
Can you adjust the display info?
Because many disk names are very long and number in multi-disk games somewhere in the end, it's not visible and it's impossible to tell which disk number is selected. Yes you can count beeps, but it's not easy if game/app has more than 4 disks.
How about to add disk slot in the beginning of second line on display? There are 3 empty places there, so at least 2 least digits of disk number can be displayed. This place can be shared with other info (i see A, RA there) - so if no other info displayed there, then disk number can be shown there.
This would be very handy!

Thank you for the beta. It works for me too, I did a quick test.
Now I have to figure out how to fit the lcd and the hxc-slim in the case together... At least the height of the space for floppy drive on the ensoniq sd1 is higher than usual.

Hi all,
I'm thinking about add a lcd to my slim. My solder skills are near to null, i'd to know if is there any way to do it without soldering? In the pictures I can see some plastic pieces attached to the slim board... are soldering required too with these plastic pieces?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Oscar.
I did just a test, I used some test wires to see that it works.
When I'll mount it, for sure I will have to solder the wires there, o a small 5-pin connector.
Better find someone willing to help you with the soldering.
Otherwise you could fit there wires stucked with tooth sticks ... but I really don't recommend this.
