Ok je prend note. La proposition intéresse : Je vais en profiter pour faire une bonne séance "d'ajustement"

Re: Switching between internal Floppy and HxC
Hi
Coming back to the original post of this thread...
I have successfully installed a switch on my Emulator-II which can select either the HxC or the Floppy Drive as DS0.
The (ON-OFF-ON) switch is simply installed on wire 10 of the ribbon cable and routes to either pin 10 of the HxC or pin 10 of the floppy drive (or neutral OFF).
It works like a charm...
...but it seems that a similar solution on the Emulator-I does not work (testified by Futureman).
We assumed that installing a switch on wire 16 of the ribbon cable would do the job on the Emulator-I.
The difference between Emulator-I and Emulator-II is that:
- Emulator-II uses wires 10 and 12 for drive select (DS0 and DS1), and wire 16 for motor on/off.
- Emulator-I uses only wire 16 for both drive select (DS0) and motor on/off.
Any idea ? Or should a switch on wire 16 "in theory" work fine ?

In fact if you take a closer look at the Emulator-II schematic, this one too use only one signal for the motor and the drive selectEsynthesist wrote: The difference between Emulator-I and Emulator-II is that:

I don't see the reason why this shouldn't work on Emulator I.

Right indeed
OK, this means that some further testing is required...
