Gotek Drive: Disk not ready on EPS 16
Hi,
i have a Gotek drive in my EPS 16, loaded with some 2550kb images. Sometimes the EPS respondes with Disk Drive not ready, if i go to another image on the USB and go back to the original Images it loads one Instrument, if i want to load another it says the same again. And i have to switch to another Image and back to the original...??? Anyone a idea what could be the problem?

- Which emulator are you using ?
- What can you read on the emulator screen without usb / sdcard inserted ?
- What can you read on the emulator screen with the usb / sdcard inserted ?
- Which firmware version is installed ?
- Is the access LED always lit ?
- Which jumpers / switches setting are you using ?

Re: Gotek Drive: Disk not ready on EPS 16
I'm using a gotek with HxC firmware, it's installed correctly no always-on led and I'm able to write/read and format disks.
I think I'm running the latest firmware version as I've got the firmware roughly a month ago..
I'm sorry but I have no idea of the firmware version number..
I think the problem only manifests when I'm trying to access a new disk just after I boot to the OS.
If I wait a bit (5-10 seconds) after I change the disk it works okay.
It may be some delay setting maybe?
Can I restore the firmware setting to its default values?

Yes : press the right button at power up.belzrebuth wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 10:53 pmCan I restore the firmware setting to its default values?
Regarding the delay :
Press both buttons -> Enter the menu 5 (Auto select delay) and set the lowest value : view-source:https://hxc2001.com/docs/gotek-floppy-e ... gotek_menu

Re: Gotek Drive: Disk not ready on EPS 16
Hello, I have a question on the same issue I think.
I have bought and installed an hxc flashed Gotek Floppy Emulator into an Ensoniq EPS 16 Plus.
It`s the USB one with the rotary encoder and the Oled Display (not always on).
I am able to load the Operating System, but when I try to load a sound disk image, it says DISK DRIVE NOT READY.
If no USB drive is inserted, the Oled display says FlashFloppy V2.13
I read about solution, where I have change the delay time in the internal settings but I can`t access that menu.
When I press and hold the buttons, the only response is that it displays RESET FLASH CONFIGURATION on the Oled.
Can anybody please help me on that?
Thanks in advance

Re: Gotek Drive: Disk not ready on EPS 16
Yes i can help you.
So you have bought an hxc flashed Gotek Floppy Emulator and you finally got a thing saying "flashcopy". I am sorry to say that you paid for a counterfeit firmware .
You can get the HxC firmware on this page : https://hxc2001.com/store/index.html
Once you receive the confirmation email with the login/password, send me an email, i will send you the files to update your gotek with the HxC Firmware with an usb stick.
(Sorry for the inconvenience, there is a lot of scammers using the "HxC" name to sell their merchandise without paying the firmware...)
