I'm looking into retrofitting a DPX-1.
From what I understand, you can load all A9, E2, P2, and En banks from a Rev F HxC in the upper drive provided you convert the .EII images with DPXTOOLS E2DPX.
The part I am stuck on at the moment is where to obtain the .HFE files or original disk images of the four libraries without scavenging thirty-year-old physical diskettes.
Is there an original Oberheim DPX-1 library and compatible CDROMS also? Is there a resource for this, or better yet a link?
DPX-1 retrofit - library disk images?

Nobody?
I saw references to "Quickinstall collections" but don't know what or where that is.
There are also references to the Yahoo Group which appears to have been deleted and backed up but the backup does not contain any libraries in the "links" section. The Group appears to still exist as just a landing page. Is this an IP issue? I know a lot of old CDROMS and outdated banks can just be downloaded as disk images for a small fee or free..

Re: DPX-1 retrofit - library disk images?
The library situation is under control.
Do all four complete instrument libraries and CDROMS fit onto one 8GB SD Card in a Lotharek? I'm trying to determine if a Gotek USB with or without a rotary encoder and OLED display is a better option than a Lotharek SD. What are the advantages/disadvantages between the two?

Do the quickinstall folders contain sound banks?
For the DPX-1, do you dump everything into the root of the storage device with one .CFG file, or are the different instruments E2, P2, A9, En, separated into folders?
