Not yet.Jeff is (or was, I don't know for sure) working to add a board to the HxC emulator which can handle the various not standard Shugart signals of X68000 FDDs.I really don't know of its development is going on or is halted. For sure Jeff could be more precise about.Anyway, It would be a great thing since X68000 FDDs are very prone to fail , especially the Compact ones.
P.S.
Jeff, X68000 schematics are now fully available here:

HxC working with X68000 !
Re: HxC working with X68000 !
Hi!
I'm an anonymous x68000 owner and thought it was time to be vocal about being grateful there's a solution on the way for this odd floppy drive. I'm confident Jeff will come with a solution for our complicated but sexy x68000
So thanks, and just in case, ready to beta test, pre-order, anything. Count me in!

Re: HxC working with X68000 !
At present, I see that Japanese players have a very funny solution:
Please refer to this website (Japanese):
https://gra4.hatenadiary.jp/entry/20171119/1511085342
The general meaning is that through a fork, the special signal line will continue to be connected to the original floppy drive, while the rest of the general part will be connected to hxc, and use a floppy disk to deceive the computer.
It's stupid, but it works

Re: HxC working with X68000 !
At present, I found that the X68000 Pro model can easily use hxc. Just unplug all edge interfaces of the physical floppy drive, then connect hxc to the external floppy drive interface and adjust to the dual drive mode.Jeff wrote: ↑Sun Mar 27, 2022 11:42 pmExactly !SOUKIN wrote: ↑Sun Mar 27, 2022 6:19 pm At present, I see that Japanese players have a very funny solution:

This method comes from a researcher at Yahoo auction in Japan. He sold me a set of self-made connecting cables for external floppy drives, which is mentioned in the attached DVD.
Because the ribbon of the X68000 Pro floppy drive is separated, the special signal is connected by a ribbon (the white ribbon in the photo), and the ribbon of the data part is the same as that of the ordinary floppy drive. As long as the special signal ribbon is connected and the ribbon of the data part is disconnected, and an arbitrary floppy disk is inserted in each floppy drive to "cheat" the floppy drive for special signal identification, In this way, this will exchange data with hxc and X68000 But the ordinary x68000 (tower) is more troublesome. It has only a special 12 pin ribbon plug. All signals are mixed together. We must separate the parts of special signals by the method I mentioned earlier.
At present, I have successfully run most games in this way, but when changing the disk, the floppy disk used for "cheating" will pop up and need to be inserted manually
Re: HxC working with X68000 !
I think may be useful for update this topic the link to my open source solution for use HxC as external drive with X68000:
https://github.com/aotta/X68KFDUINO
it works with most games i tested since now (except for Tunnels&Trolls), it's cheap to build and open source, so anyone could improve it.

Re: HxC working with X68000 !
i made a new version, based with Raspberry Pico, that works fine now with all games i tested so far, and use red leds and blinking mode:
