Akai MPC 3000
Looking for definitive jumper settings and hfe blank disk files to get this installed into my 3K. With the Sp1200, it was a piece of cake with the quick install files. Can anybody help?
Thanks
Thanks

Please use the HxC software to read your actual floppy and export them to HFE then send me the HFE files.iheartbeets wrote:Looking for definitive jumper settings and hfe blank disk files to get this installed into my 3K. Re: Akai MPC 3000
Hi Jeff,
Got the 3rd drive for the Akai. Installed it and used the Shugart disk file you sent. The PCHD file did not work. The Shugart with the config file got it going perfectly! I couldn't figure out how to auto load the 3.16 update but aside from that, everything went very smoothly.
Thanks again for your great support help.

But the update should be done only once, isn't it ?iheartbeets wrote: I couldn't figure out how to auto load the 3.16 update but aside from that, everything went very smoothly.

Re: Akai MPC 3000
No. It must be done every time because the operating system is on EPROMS. Before, I had the newer OS on a disk and the machine would autoload it. Oddly, it will not do this with HXC. I wonder if it has anything to do with the config file. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Thanks

Can you try to change the interface mode into the hxc menu (remove the sd and press select) ?Sveef wrote:Hello everybody! I got the next problem. When i change a floppy my mpc still see the first floppy which i selected at first. What i got to do? Only reboot an mpc?

Re: Akai MPC 3000
Okay. I am back to ask a question. The floppy drive in the MPC3000 on had a limited capacity. Is it possible to make the .hfe file size larger so that the machine can take advantage of the new storage capacity? My machine has 32mb of memory but because of the virtual disk size, I can only save 1.44mb at a time so it is a waste. It is my understanding that the machine will create 30mb partitions. What do you think Jeff?
