I use a Gotek on my A500+ as internal drive, with an additional external real floppy drive.
Everything worked very well up to firmware 3.1.48.1a.
But starting with firmware 3.1.60.2a, it doesn't work anymore.
I can select the slot 0 and boot the manager. Then I select an ADF or ST image, and I press F7 to boot it. Then the display shows "Err", and it boots again on slot 0.
If I flash previous firmwares, everything works well again.
"Err" with firmware 3.1.60.2a and higher

3.1.60.2a is a quite old firmware and the last firmware is for sure working with the current selector.BlankVector wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 8:55 pmI use a Gotek on my A500+ as internal drive, with an additional external real floppy drive.

Please use the CFG file from this archive (autoboot mode):
https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_dri ... rmware.zip
and check that you use the last selector (v1.89)

Re: "Err" with firmware 3.1.60.2a and higher
Ok, now I see what happens.
The issue is with the HXCSDFE.CFG file.
- If I take it from SDCard_HxC_Floppy_Emulator_Manager\Amiga\
Blue background : it fails
- If I take it from SDCard_HxC_Floppy_Emulator_Manager\Amiga\V3_CFG_FILE\
Green background : it works
- If I take it from HXCFEUSB_HFE_beta_firmware\Config_Files\Autoboot_mode\
Green background : it works
- If I save it from HxCFloppyEmulator_soft\Windows\HxCFloppyEmulator.exe
Blue background : it fails
So I have been fooled because on my initial setup I saved the HXCSDFE.CFG from HxCFloppyEmulator.exe and it produced the wrong format (Blue background). This is puzzling.
Maybe I'm plain wrong and HxCFloppyEmulator.exe shouldn't be used with Gotek?
In this case, how to change the settings?

There is probably a regression with the old config file format support in autoboot/file selector mode in the last firmwares, i will fix this.
But anyway i recommend you to use the V3 cfg file : It's a way better for the autoboot mode : more slots, and you can assign the disks as you want.

There is a setting menu in the file selector. You can also change the settings directly on the drive.
