A couple of weeks ago I bought an Atari 1040STe that came with a Gotek floppy emulator. I bought the ST to do music sequencing using Notator.
It works without issue if I am just starting the ST and running programs but when I create a song and save it and try to reopen it, Notator gives an error that opening it might damage the program. When I tell it to ignore and it opens, it's blank. I also have other programs that I want to use but have no idea how to load them onto the USB drive as just dragging and dropping programs into the USB drive from Windows doesn't work. The ST only recognizes what is already there on the USB drive.
I confirmed the Gotek is running HXC and that it works like a normal floppy drive within TOS. I want it to still work like this but have the ability to save things to the USB using Notator and also be able to load new programs onto the USB using Windows.
Can someone help me?

What can you read on the Gotek screen without any usb stick inserted ?
Re: Bought an Atari St, it came with a Gotek.....Help
The display is the 3 digit display. With no USB inserted it reads "F - F".

I got the proper firmware installed into it and then used your floppy image tool to get the programs I needed into the USB drive. Everything now works and I can save and load programs into the USB drive without issue.
